California Christmas, Part 3

Rob and Mary put us all up at their house over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - an act of great love on their part, because the Hagersons are not always well behaved. We had a blast - as you can see on the faces of The Three Caballeros (Kade, Jake and Phoenix). Of course, it helped that Phoenix got the "Ipod" that she had asked Santa for, and Bekka got the laptop she had only secretly hoped for. But it was a truly magical Christmas because we were all there together - Mom, Dad, Jim, Rob, Mary, Jake, Kade, Julee, Ben, Bekka and Phoenix. Thank you to Rob and Mary - the hosts with the mosts.

California Christmas, Part 2

We drove up to Sequoia Nat'l Park and barely made it up to the snow before we had to turn around again because it turned out our snow chains were too big for our tires. Bekka didn't get to see the sequoia trees, but she cheered up and we made the most of it! Oma about had a heart attack when Bekka and Ben made that big snowman on the edge of a freaky-steep drop off. It was so beautiful up in the mountians!

California Christmas, Part 1

We kicked off the trip with a jaunt to Disneyland to celebrate my mom's birthday - her 70th! My dad was missing, since he wasn't feeling up to it yet, and it was a bit cool, and a bit crowded, but we had a grand time. Highlights: the Tiki Room - Rob's favorite attraction since he was little (have to get the Dole pineapple wip), the Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion - so cool and better than the original, It's a Small World all lit up with Christmas lights, and just hanging out together.
